| RECEIVE A FREE COPY OF "THE VIOLIN DIARY" |
It's simple actually, many libraries in the United States refuse to
carry copies of self-published or print-on-demand titles, like
"The Violin Diary" for various reasons. Some of those reasons
are because they have contracts with major publishing houses
or distribution centers. In fact, many libraries will sell off book
donations for books they don't have in their collection and then
purchase the book brand new from the publisher at a higher
cost.
The only way to get a title into the system that's been
published on-demand is for card carrying members of the
library branch to demand it. So with that, we're offering folks
who have library cards in the following cities a chance to win a
free copy of "The Violin Diary" by accomplishing the following:
- Convince your local library to carry "The Violin Diary" by
requesting they put in a purchase order (P.O.) for the
title through Lulu/.com or Amazon.com (both sites offer
library discounts for inventory purchases). - Once you've made the request, inform us via the contact
form on this page. - Once we get word that a purchase of the book has been
made we will check with the library to see if the title has
been ordered. If the order is confirmed we will ship you
your copy once the book has appeared in their online
inventory system.
We're primarily interested in placing the book in libraries in the
following cities: Seattle, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San
Francisco, Washington DC, Vancouver BC, Chicago,
Portland OR, Portland ME, Hartford CT & Boston.
| Norcross Media, the holder of this contest, reserves the right to hold back prizes should any evidence of cheating or other dishonest acts be known to have taken place. Norcross Media has 365 days for the date of a library's receipt of their TVD purchase to award the winner with their free copy. Limit to 1 copy per person, to the person who claims credit for the purchase order. Maximum 3 copies will be handed out. |
