This past autumn, I ended up shooting an entire feature film titled "43 Degrees North". It was a long-shot that this would happen. Some of you might remember, during the early years of the pandemic, I had planned to film an indie feature down in Virginia, with the working title "A Year Up". That production never worked out, but I kept it on the back burner in the hopes that I would be able to make the movie in my home state of Maine.
Last spring, I began having talks to filmed at a historic, rustic cottage on an island in the Gulf of Maine. Suffice to say, the production happened, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The film stars Derek Kingsley, Denise Shannon, and a stellar pool of local talent from the Casco Bay and wider New England area.
