I am currently negotiating new distribution opportunities for my 2017 arthouse narrative, DEATH & LIFE. This film is so stylistically removed from audience expectations, that keeping it on a single platform has been tough to say the least. This is, after all, a movie inspired by city planning philosophies of the mid-20th century and the subsequent research that was done to combat anti-urban sentiment. The title itself is an honorarium to Jane Jacobs' masterwork, THE DEATH AND LIFE OF GREAT AMERICAN CITIES. The film is less about plot, character, and the usuals... and more about the vibe... the struggle... choosing the artlife in a world hostile to the arts.
Now that I have legitimate interested parties in releasing the film, I am retooling all the assets. I have released a new trailer, which provides a better sense of what to expect.
